Originally spent most of its life in a fresh water lake, I have owned it for almost 8 years now and it has been used in that time at the Solent water ski club. As the years have gone she is getting used less and less so I have decided to sell ?.Mostly after every use it is flushed with fresh water. Has a wakeboard tower fitted and tows a wakeboarder reasonably easy. (That’s all we do with the boat)50 hp motor can get up to 30mph according to gps.It had a new set of plugs every year however this year they have not been changed( only used it once last year.The seats are looking weathered and tired however I think the rest of the boat looks quite up together.New steering cables approx 3 years ago ( only been used. A handful of times since then)The engine cover has been re painted and the’ mariner’ section I have masked off and lacquered which shows the parina nicely but will also be hard wearing.I have put new 5 mm rubber matting in the front as the carpet underneath was starting to look a bit tired.Trailer is in ok condition, I replaced the bearings just last year and fitted a newish set of wheels and Tyres.New jockey wheel 2 years ago but it has developed a puncture- however I think these are about 10 quid on eBay. I have been pumping it up at the club just before I use it.Throttle handle is mounted loosely and I have simply got used to this, I had solid mounted this but decided to leave it loose as Its far easier to use this way ( will be obvious to explain on collection) Automatic choke works well .New battery last year , I have never had an issue with the battery but just felt I should change it.The hull has had a few repairs previously but has no issues with leaks.Starts and runs well.

Picton 166 GTS for sale. She is a 1994 boat and is fitted with a 1994 Evinrude 70hp 2 stroke with power tilt and trim. This is fuelled from an 80 litre bow tank with space for auxiliary tanks behind the rear seats. The engine was originally auto lube but is now running premix for peace of mind. Last year it had:New 18mm marine ply floor, resin washed and fully sheathed in fibreglass. Overcoated with grey non slip gel instead of carpet so it doesn’t hold the water. Fusion 700i marine stereo/dvd player with 4x 6.5” marine waterproof speakers installed. Aft swim decks were also done in grey non slip gel to match the main deck. Ski pole fitted. Port and stbd nav lights fitted. New side panels were made and covered with new vinyl and new carpet in the side pockets. Red LED lighting fitted in the side pockets. New wood rimmed steering wheel fitted. It has not been in the water yet this year so I would recommend giving it a quick once over before taking it out. However I have done the following to get it prepared:New water pump impellerNew spark plugsNew gearbox oilSteering greased It has twin batteries fitted, an optima red top starting battery and a Numax 110ah leisure battery however the leisure battery does need wiring up. There is a rulemate 1100gph bilge pump fitted currently on a switch at the helm but can be wired up as auto as it has a float switch. She sits on a good strong trailer that tows well. The trailer was fitted with new hubs and bearings last year and has only been dunked twice since. The clamp for the jockey wheel is broken and needs replacing, jockey wheel is included but not fitted. Overall the boat is in pretty good condition for the age, it’s not perfect, the grey paint on the aft end could be better but it’s still presentable. Very good on fuel, will do 35mph and I have had a wakeboarder and mono skier up at the same time which is not an easy thing to do, the engine has plenty of pull. Selling due to upgrading to a Bayliner which is currently taking up all my time and spare money!

This auction is for my Picton 15ft speed boat.The condition for its year is very good , yes it does have a few bruises but for 29 years old she is hardly in her first flush of youth.The hull is sound with no leaks could do with a polish but looks good in the water. The cockpit will accommodate up to five people but for it to really GO I would suggest two adults and no more than three smallish children. I have regularly run her with two very big men and still achieved 35+mph. She comes up onto the plane at 11 mph which is achieved in seconds. The engine is a Mariner (Mercury) 75 hp with hydraulic trim and tilt and electric key start. It is keen to start and will tick over all day without problems.I have recently spent £500.00 in having the carbs cleaned and tuned and a new ignition system installed. As I mentioned earlier it is very fast and can be quite exciting when the throttle is opened. It has plenty of life let in it if its is looked after and quality oils are used. The trailer was purchased new from Indespension Trailers ltd on 27/07/2016 at a cost of £1250.00 and I have the sales receipt as proof. As you can imagine it is in first class condition. there is no rust on it, the winch works as it should and winch strap is undamaged. The tyres are in good condition with no cuts or damage to the side walls and the tread is almost like new. The wheel bearings are problem free and have been greased regularly. The trailer also comes with two spare wheels and tyres. A jack and wheel brace are also included.The trailer tows like a dream and it does not require a large powerful vehicle to pull the boat and trailer an ordinary family saloon /hatchback will do the job just fine. I will be sad to see her go but the purchase of a larger vessel forces the sale. I have for sale a Picton 180GTS boat hull and trailer. The engine, transom and drive leg are not included. The trailer is an Indespension 1800kg which has U-Bolt fixings for full adjustability in all dimensions thus allowing the perfect set-up for your boat for both launching and retrieving.Height adjustability through multi-drilled front roller supports. Soft compound ‘All’ rubber rollers. It has 4 good tyres with solid load bearing wheel arches. 1 wheel bearing needs to be changed which will be done before collection. The front winch includes strap and is fully operational. Jockey wheel has no ball handle for winding but still functions. Includes electric hook up cable and light board. The interior needs to be completely renewed. The floor is solid. I have newly cut marine ply for side panels, bench seat, sun deck and engine bay. I have all the original seat foam and covers to use for new templates along with the two fibreglass front bucket seats. The hull is in good condition with no cracks or splits just age related marks. Hi and welcome to my auction for my Picton 159GTS Speed/Ski Boat, the gel coat is original and apart from a few blemishes, it’s in remarkable condition. It’s lived nearly all its life in the Lake District and in fresh water, see the pic of the anode! The boat is 15’9″ long which is 4.8M. It’s a huge amount of fun, so grab yourself a bargain for this beautiful summer. It comes with 2 sets of keys and 2 petrol tanks. The boat has a super 90hp Mariner Outboard Engine with Power Trim and Tilt, it has loads of power and whips a skier out of the water in a second. The Engine has been de-winterised, but hasn’t been used this season, so it’s ready to go. The last service just required a new oil feed pipe as it had hardened. I will leave the Lowrance Hook 4 Navigation and fish finder if the buy it now is used. It has UK maps installed too. I will also leave the ski pole and Skis with a fresh water muff for cleaning the motor. I have included the anchor too. I fitted a new steering wheel last season and the interior is new too. All in all a great package on the roller coaster braked trailer with new tyres last season too. I will service the bearings before pick up. Lovely Classic Speed Boat, in original condition, never been painted or had anti foul paint, so just used in fresh water, hull is in excellent condition, the top part (yellow) has aged over time with the sun, comes with a Hallmark Galvanised Trailer which is totally solid and roadworthy, the Mariner 45 starts and runs fine in the unit, but we haven’t had time to take the boat out and test the engine, so sold as seen -the boat has a Boat Safety Certificate valid until 2021.
